Our history begins in 1968 when the founders Johan and Martin started a salad company in their garage in Glanerbrug (a town near Enschede). The company's name was quickly found by combining the first names of the founders.
The first clients were butchers and small supermarkets in the Eastern part of the country.
Since Johma continued growing from the start we had to find a bigger production facility, which we found in Losser, a few kilometers from Enschede.
With another management the growth continued rapidly.
With our own "Twentse” mentality (sympathy, hardworking, honest), we have introduced many innovations throughout the years.
Since 2010 Johma manufactures and exports private label products for and to the Northern European countries.
